Friday Night @ Philip & Joy's

We had our first opportunity to formally (okay, not "formally" per se) entertain guests in our house. A lot of our friends are traveling right now but we had a few families from chapel/various small group join us for dinner and some connect time last night. I spent the day cleaning and baking bread. I made roast beef and au jus for french dip sandwhiches, baked rolls and made artichoke & spinach dip and everyone brought a little something to share.

We had been planning to use the yard but the lastminute classic England downpour nixed that idea. After we ate we engaged in a little friendly competition playing Taboo. For those of you who don't know, I am probably one of the most competitve people EVER - so I play for blood. . . (as the pictures do a fair job of encapsulating)
There was much laughter as you can probably imagine. The game started out like this: the word to guess was "regular" all that Debbie could think to say was "menstural cycle" so I started immediately ticking off every term that came to my mind as every male in the room turned green and sunk lower and lower into his chair. We laughed about that one all night.

Sounds like a blast! We have a story similar to yours playing Catch Phrase - but I'm not going to post it here! :-)

Life is good when you can share an evening with friends. Life is really good when the word "regular" provides laughter for the entire evening.
