The Time of Our Life

a couple of quick prayer requests:

1) the equipment for Philip's eye surgery broke today (praise the Lord NOT while they were burning through his eye with a laser), so it had to be rescheduled for Thursday which means he won't return from Germany until Monday. Praying that things go safely and smoothly when the perform the procedure on Thursday

2) My job is getting switched around AGAIN. Which is okay. I'm grateful to have a job. HOWEVER, it is complicating the contract for my clinical supervisor for school - so I'm praying that this can be worked out without the university getting completely annoyed or upset with the fact that my supervisor may change one or possibly two more times. I'm feeling really really drained by it right now. I'm glad I've been reading in Matthew the last couple of nights about not worrying about tomorrow and the fact that my God takes care of even the sparrows or I would be really in a heightened state of anxiety right now.

3) my workload for school is feeling really overwhelming as I look ahead over the coming months - particularly the rest of September & October

Thanks. It's only Tuesday, and I feel like I need another vacation. The blissful day described below seems forever ago already

DAY 3

Slept in. Breakfast (1/2 plate of fresh pineapple, omelette & milk mmmmmm). Read. Slept by the pool. Broke down and purchased and overpriced 60 minute block internet package. Lunch. Lounged by the pool. People watched in the champagne bar. Dinner. After-dinner show. Bed time.
