Luxembourg

Philip has been home a week now. It's good to have him back. Some of the stresses of the week made the reintegration harder at times but we're soon settled again. Yesterday (Saturday) was ONE OF THOSE DAYS. Seriously I couldn't wait for it to be over. We did go out to a pub w/ Matt & Jana last night which was a fun break from the stress of life and the day.
Philip had a Sunday off when he was in Germany, so he took the opportunity to drive to Luxembourg for the day. He visited the American military cemetery for a few hours. Many soldiers from the Battle of the Bulge are buried here. He said it was a powerful experience as he was the only person there and it was a rainy, dreary, foggy day.

Thank you, Philip, for sharing those pictures. To think of what that cemetery represents is mind boggling. I feel like I don't have a clue when it comes to understanding the sacrifices that others have given over the years for our country. Sadly, many other Americans have less of a clue than I do.
