So after my last post I was so fired up about the pigs that I tried contacting the farm. This was the response I got that left my husband, mother and father laughing and me feeling very sorry for myself.
Shannon, thank you for your prayerful loyalty and support of my cause. I know that the prayer of righteous women availeth much but apparently Philip's prayer was more righteous than mine this time. Boo. Lame. I do want you to know that faithful prayers make a world of difference in all of the areas of my life that really matter though. Thank you, love.
Thank you for you recent email requesting information about the Pennywell
Piglets.
Sorry that it has taken so long to reply to you but we have had hundreds of
thousands of enquiries from all over the world and have been a little
overwhelmed at the response. As a result, the waiting list is now closed and
we can no longer enter into correspondence regarding the pigs. Lovely as it
is to hear from you, please do not expect individual replies to your
questions or contact the Pennywell office.
If you would like to meet the Pennywell pigs or any of the other animals,
Pennywell Farm is open daily between 10am – 5pm, from 14th Feb until 2nd
November 2009. Further information can be found on the website:
www.pennywellfarm.co.uk on the ‘more info’ page.
Thank you for contacting Pennywell and for your understanding.

When I have to council my young Airmen I was trained to always say something positive, give the negative feedback, and then end with something positive. So to my wife I say, "You are the smartest person on this island. We can't have a pig. You are awesome."

Way to go AF style Philip! :) haha.. training has done well to prepare you for marriage debates! haha.
Joy - I am so sorry that Philip's prayers are more righteous than ours! Bummer. But I continue to push on in faith, that you might one day recieve the piglet you deserve! What a precious moment that would be. And well, if you shouldn't receive one here on Earth, may Heaven be filled with them to frolic in the meadows with! :)

Love you girL!
To Philip: "You are the second smartest person on the island. If Joy can't have a pig, you probably won't get a dog if you ever ask for one. You are awesome."
To Shannon and Joy: "If your side of heaven has pigs of any size in it, then please pray that my side is pig-free."
To you all: thanks for the great entertainment via this blog. Love you!
okay, how does one follow those comments?
Connie and Ralph, Paul and Laura you raised two pretty great kids that now happened to be married. Philip-better check your word usage (council should be counsel) and you can't blame that on me I wasn't your high school English teacher. Keeping up with the kids via this blog is awesomely informative
