Yeah. . . notsomuch.
This is what actually happened during my spring break:
1. lots of work at Children's (which was WONDERFUL - had some really wonderful time with patients and families last week, but spending many hours in a peds oncology unit isn't where you decompress. . .)
2. studying for statistics exam
3. statistics homework
3. Rorschach practice
4. 2 afternoons of WAIS-IV administration review with a classmate/neighbor
5. scholarship application
6. group psychotherapy reading
7. assessment homework
The fact that I have not had time or energy to blog all week probably speaks to the fact that the week was heavier on the "productive" side than then "break" side. Which I'm grateful for - don't get me wrong - I wanted to reach the end of the week feeling like I had accomplished some of the academic tasks I wanted to stay on top of. For the most part I did (though I'm trying to not be swallowed by the gnawing feeling that that I could/feel like I should have done even more), but I am tired. Nose back to the grindstone this week. I'm definitely ready to push through the next six week stretch of the semester. Then I get about a week and a half until the SUPER INTENSE summer semester begins. It's prettymuch going to be a marathon until the second week in July. . . but then I will be 1/3 of the academic way through my doctorate - absolutely insane.
Don't get me wrong - I did have one day of sleeping until 1 pm this week (I am embarrassed to include this but it made my brother laugh so hard when I told him that same evening by 10pm I just about needed to be carried up to bed because I was so tired that I decided to include it for your entertainment. . . or digsust. . . whichever. . .) I also did power through 3 wonderful Beverly Lewis books (one of them in less than 24 hours. . . hooray for reading until 1 am!!!). In the day and a half where I didn't have stuff scheduled I was also able to watch a little bit of Brothers & Sisters and Private Practice. But now, I'm getting to ready to snuggle under the covers for the evening after a non-stop Sunday (I vowed that I could not have a repeat of today - early to church for worship practice, church, hosting lunch/ bible study that went until 3pm, and leaving the house again at 5:30 for small group --- for the sake of margin, we need to come HOME after church and SABBATH - I've been good about saying that all Sunday downtime is just for Philip and I [no school] but there's hardly any of that downtime left in the day some weeks - not okay!) Tomorrow will be a full day @ Children's and the back to the normal school/work schedule on Tues.

Sounds like your "stay-cation" was eventful. At least your spring break had some days that felt like "spring."
I laughed that your brother laughed at you - so in my book it was "entertainment." Did you forget to write that you got up at 7 a.m. (or whatever time it was) to eat soggy Wheaties, and THEN went back to bed until 1 p.m.?
Hooray for reading books for fun.
Blessings on you as you head towards the May finish line.
