It's A Wonderful Life

A look at the week in pictures. . . This truly has been one of the best Christmases in my life. It is probably one of the happiest, healthiest periods I've had over a Christmas in years. For the first time in my life I had my husband with me at a "Pearson" Christmas - this was something I've dreamed of since I was a little girl. I feel so blessed to have been able to be with my husband, parents, brother and extended family this holiday season. However, as I spent time with my biological family I was reminded of how blessed I've been by my military family --- the people the Lord has strategically placed in Philip's and my lives in the last three years have truly become family and will always have a special place in our hearts.

One year from now, I will not have an address in England. One week from now I will be starting a long separation from my husband. A lot is going to change. I pray that the Lord will be glorified through the story of Philip's and my journey in 2010.

One of my favorite Pearson Christmas traditions: singing carols together after dinner before we open gifts.

Mom didn't appreciate when Josh came out looking scragly in his pjs on Christmas morning and told him to put something a bit nicer on for pictures. Josh decided that he'd sure show her. . . did he ever. (he only donned one tie --- the other to were from me. I marked the tag "to: josh from: joy I'm sorry from Philip.")

Christmas Eve Serivce. Josh & I sang "Do You Hear What I Hear" (sans any Tim Hawkins commentary)

Joy and Philip, it was so wonderful to have you home at Christmas time!!! Thank you for making the long, somewhat complicated trek. We've been home a few hours since taking you to the airport - miss you already, but glad to share you with other family members. From what I could see online, your flights went well. (You two don't fly together much, do you?) I especially enjoyed both of your "grandparent" photos. We didn't take a White Christmas picture though.... In another blog you will have to report how you kept the "It's A Wonderful Life" tradition going. Much love, Mom
