Brancaster

Philip and I spent yesterday exploring the English countryside as it is our last (and has been one of the only) weekends that we have had together this summer. Can you believe September is soon here?! We visited a harbor town of Brancaster which is along the east coast. It was a charming little harbor town. We took a trail along the coast (we probably walked about 5 miles yesterday). The weather was nice, so it was fun to enjoy the scenic drive as well.
Today we went to church and I have been busy getting ready to leave for the US tomorrow, getting the house ready for our quarterly inspection and finishing a final project. I am praying for the first uneventful international flight that I have had in a looong time. I get to fly straight from London to Minneapolis, which will be really nice.
I have "Philip food" all stocked up. You need to understand that my husband would rather go hungry than fix himself anything to eat. When I'm gone he usually just opts not to eat anything above and beyond cereal for breakfast and a pb sandwhich for lunch. I stocked the house with food he has agreed to try to "prepare" (namely ramen, Minute rice and beef stew) in addition to his regular staples of chocolate chips, vanilla frosting (straight from the tub - it's a wonder he has the same size waist as his wife), popcorn, cereal, bread and peanutbutter. I've talked him into driking orange juice while I am gone so that there is something resembling fruit/vegetables in his diet for the two weeks I am gone. Often I come back (or he goes TDY) and he has lost 5 pounds in the time we've been apart. That boy is too funny!!!

Hi Darling! You are an amazing wife! I'm so happy to hear you're headed HOME to see everyone. I'll be praying for your trip and for dear Philip's weight or willingness to eat! :)

Love you both! Glad you're flying direct but would so deeply cherish a half hour with you if you were to have a layover near us!
