picture worth a thousand words? bring on the words. . .

Well, the stuff is definitely gone.  Realized today our second camera was taken with the lot as well. . .  Maddening.  So, looks like pictureless blogs for awhile.   Sorry people.

Bit of a frustrating day today.  I've been looking forward to a restful day for a couple of weeks but turns out today wasn't meant to be it (next weekend perhaps?)  I left early for church in hopes of filing a report w/ security forces on base before the service.  Well, turns out SF needed me to have filed a report with the UK police first (this was determined after I had given my statement --- those interview rooms are kind of scary!).  So I went down town to the constabulary.  Well, they couldn't take my statement.  I gave my information and they said they'd contact me later in the day.  By this point I missed 35 minutes of church.  I still went, feeling as though it would do me good.  I also had a massage previously scheduled for 11:30 today which meant I'd have to leave right after church (I considered cxling it this morning as I was not sure I could enjoy it in the middle of a chaotic day. . .).  Well I had been in church for 30 minutes when I noticed a missed call.  The number called again - I had a sneaking suspicion that it was the police.  I snuck out of the sancturary to take the call (I know, I know. . . how heathenlike can I be - only the on-call doctors are allowed to look at their phones and during church, right?).  It was a police officer.  I explained I was at church and had an appointment directly after service.  They were kind and said they'd have to start a new case with me this afternoon.  I decided on my feet that I would just go to the house and meet them and at least get some of the crap sorted out so I didn't have to be stressed the WHOLE day about getting the 2 police statements made.  I crept back into church, grabbed my stuff, crept out and drove home (people must have seriously wondered what my problem was today) to meet the police and crime scene investigation people at the house.  They were really great, took my statement and dusted for finger/foot prints (it felt like I was in the middle of a new reality show "CSI:  Mildenhall" --- do you think AFN would go for that pitch?).

I just walked on to base hoping to be able to have the information from the police officer emailed to me that I need to make my on base and insurance claim (though not sure about a deductable or that I am at all excited to make a claim that will probably increase our rates . . . actually a bit stressed about that).  Of course I get here and there is nothing in my inbox yet.

I guess I'll go home and try again later.  Not my idea of a restful Sabath though. . .

Oh, yeah, we also found out that [unsurprisingly] Philip's deployment has been extended not loads longer but enough to be annoying.  I was almost anticipating it but still not real exciting news on top of all of the other stuff right now.

I could really use some good news one of these days.  God, do you have any spare orders to DC floating around up there that you would want to send down one of these days?  The rest of the challenges right now may feel a much more bareable if we could have that concession. . . **had to mail in my first tution deposit yesterday. . . not sure if it was a step of faith or wishful thinking/stupidity**

I'm grateful that the Lord has given me peace about all of the computer/camera stuff and definitely want to point to Him for that.  I could be really freaking out and feeling unsafe in the house, but I'm not.  At all.  I think we've got the pictures on Philip's laptop - so that was my primary concern really.  It could be a million times worse, so I don't want to be a drama queen.  It's just more of an inconvenience and feels annoying more than anything else.  Naturally, Philip is not feeling real pleased about the fact that someone was in his home while he is away and his wife is alone. . .  Ah well, it's just stuff, right?
