{love}

Praising the Lord for a very academically productive day.  Went to class and have been working on paper and assessment report all night.  It's 11:00 pm.  I'm feeling good.  Good thing too. . . I have five massive journal articles to read for class/research committee tomorrow before I lay me down to sleep.  My goal is to have a rough draft of my big neruopsyc paper pounded out by the time we leave for MN next Tuesday.  If I can do this the majority of my stress of the semester will be over.  I'm trying to do the stressful week NOW rather than having it hang over me and taint the first two weeks of December.  Turning in my assessment report early tomorrow should help in this endeavor.  Wow, I don't think I've ever been disciplined enough to be as ahead as I am right now.  I am PRAYING that the paper momentum can continue through the weekend and I don't end up just feeling crazy overwhelmed (my body's defense is to shut down and sleep when this happens. . . not good for productivity. . .)

So. . . for a photo of someone I love. . .  how about two people. . . Paul and Laura Lere.  I am so so so so blessed to have this second set of parents.  I'm verymuch impacted profoundly on a daily basis by 18 years of their hard work and difficult choices that were a part of raising Philip into the godly young man and outstanding leader he is today.  I'm challenged and inspired by their love for Christ, their understanding of authentic relationships, their wisdom and experience,  their incredible sacrifices for the Kingdom, and their character.  Thank you for the lifelong blessing you have been to me. . .

Aren't they so cute?!  Paul has the George Clooney thing going on - he doesn't ever really look older, just more handsome.  And as for little miss Laura, well, she can share clothes with her 25 year-old daughter in-law.  Enough said.   This picture was taken at our rehearsal dinner.  WOW.  A LOT of life has happened since this picture was snapped. . .

Gee, Thanks Joy, Can't wait to get back home to Mr Clooney! I'm sitting at the college waiting for David to be done with class. We left home at 6 am this morning and with work, school and commuting together over the mountain pass we won't get home until after 11pm and we'll still have to put the groceries away. I think Mr Clooney will already be asleep. But of course there's always the day off and skiing to do tomorrow.

Aren't they so cute, you ask. YES!! Nice tribute to the "elder Leres" as we refer to them sometimes. They have been a blessing to your dad and me also - for many years. Great post for "someone you love."
Glad to hear about the academic report. Sounds like your brother's study discipline is rubbing off on you. Keep talking to him :) Much love, Mom
