my camping/tent buddy, Morgan
with the lovely Miss Mackenna
snuggled up by the fire. . . I ate WAY TOO MANY smores over the weekend :)
um, can you say Amazing?!?
The hiking and scenery felt Coloradoesque, so it was really fun feeling "at home" for a little while.
I was very proud of myself of proper roughing it for three days sleeping on the ground and being showerless (I did resort to filling a water bottle up at a hose on the campsite and running some conditioner through my hair at one point though). We arrived on Saturday and it was very cold and rainy. Sunday we were blessed with a beautiful day to hike and soak up the sun. Monday morning we packed up and were on the road again (I enjoyed being able to have a long car ride on to sleep. . . my friend Kori was amazed at how much and how fast I could fall asleep this weekend with all of the hustle and bustle of being around her kids. What can I say? It's prettymuch my spiritual gift.)

**Mike and I did almost have a fistfight when we started talking about eating disorders and food issues though. He's a Crossfit "apostle" and has started doing a paleo diet/lifestyle hardcore (zero processed foods - including dairy and grains) so we clashed heads about the ideas of labeling foods "good" and "bad" and when "healthy" becomes "too healthy" or disordered. When he asked about work and I told him that actually he would agree with 90% of what the patients would say he said, "so there is something to what they're saying!" I just shook my head and gave up. Maybe he and I could trade personal training for therapy. . . even swap? **

Wow, beautiful scenery - I can see why it is high on your list of places visited.
As far as your "giftedness" at sleeping any place, any time, for any amount of time....uhm, yes, that would be high on your list.
fun to see the pictures, it is a bit like Colorado. So proud of you for roughing it and just to let you know we're waiting here to give you the opportunity to do it again
BEAUTIFUL pictures! So jealous of you munching on smores in such a beautiful place! Memories for a lifetime.... :)
