Tonight after work I stopped by our neighbors' house to drop off a baby gift and hold their little guy. I LOVE INFANTS. I sat by them at church on Sunday and was absolutely enamored. Solomon is baby #5. They have four girls who Philip and I adore. After some baby holding (and him being disappointed that I wasn't delivering the goods like mommy) I helped their oldest, Rachel, with her homework.
Last night I had a terrific night. A really good friend of mine just moved. This girl is superwoman, seriously. Her husband has been/will be gone her whole pregnancy and will get home one month before baby arrives (hopefully!!!), she is in the process of selling their house and has moved into base housing ON HER OWN. Seriously. She. is. amazing. I went over last night we had dinner, choc. chip cookies, did some cleaning/unpacking and had a good catch-up about our holiday travels. We also discussed the challenge on trying to sort out Psy.D. programs as military wives and the very difficult balance it is within our families supporting our husbands jobs but being so driven by this mutual dream ourselves.
Tomorrow night I'm joining Suzie and starting my first class at Cambridge. I'm SO excited to have this super cool opportunity. I'm also excited that I get to share the experience with my fellow academic junkie and wonderful friend, Suzie.
