Do you have your tickets for the gun show?

I had a great evening staying at my coworker Sarah's last night. Philip and I got to have a real skype conversation which was very exciting. Training in the cold doesn't sound like much fun. Something got messed up in the list of stuff that was supposed to be issued to the guys for training and they weren't issued cold weather boots to accompany the rest of their cold weather gear. Philip explained that the problem of wearing steel-toe boots in sub-zero temperatures is that the steel gets so cold that even after you've been in a warm building your feet still feel like they have blocks of ice attached to them.
Philip usually really likes MRE(meals ready to eat) but he's getting
really sick of having them every day. . .

OK, so now among other things, I will pray that Philip's (and the others) feet stay warm while in Wisconsin. How miserable. I actually asked him about that when I saw his boots in December.

Really LIKES MRE?? Funny guy... I'm surprised they didn't get issued their boots! Gosh, Trav has SO MUCH cold weather gear out here that he never uses... wish we could send Philip a pair of his boots!

really - in the past he's crazy enough to like mres but is discovering that having them every day they aren't so much fun. . . I think he's crazy because I would have to be STARVING to touch one of those things
