half way there

It's 2:05 am on Thursday morning here. I had a bit of a manic day today and feel like I've officially done all that I can and now I just have to sit and wait. I did a bunch of finagling about the tuition issue and think that the Lord may have provided a resolution! I heard back from GWU - they apologized and said they were looking into the matter (up until I got this email my stomach was in KNOTS each time I opened my inbox waiting for a reply). I did a really crazy thing tonight and submitted an application to Denver University at midnight tonight (who puts together their doctorate application package in 2 hours, really???). I went back and forth and wanted to talk to Philip about it, but I am not sure when we will get to talk next and decided that if I just did it I couldn't what if or regret not just doing it. I figure I could have chosen much less adaptive coping strategies than just paying the money for the application fee tonight and getting the whole thing out of my system. . . Their acceptance rate is 10% and considering that I'm 2 months passed the deadline, I'm not hopeful but hey, if it's supposed to happen it will. I've done my part. Now I just sit and wait. Whatever will be will be.

Prayer request: Philip's grandma is very unwell. She's been in the hospital for a couple of operations this last week and her state is pretty fragile. Philip's dad came back from his workshop in Thailand early this week (which was a big deal) and is going to be with his family in the hospital. I'd ask for prayer for the family but for Paul and Philip's Grandpa Carl especially. Not fun. *sad face*

It's time to try to get a couple of hours of sleep. I have big plans for tomorrow: finishing organizing/unpacking/cleaning the house seeing how I'm having company on Friday. We'll see what happens. . .

You know if you get accepted at Denver University we'd be going to the same school! What does it say that I'm still working on the Master's and the next generation is a somewhat ahead of me?
