Cambridge

Just a quick update --- my Cambridge class was exceptional! I left so excited. The professor is the kind of lecturer who you could listen to for AGES. 2 and a half hours felt like 15 minutes. We've got a culturally diverse class which I love. Suzie and I are the token Americans :) The class is about 70% British, there are 2 Indian women and a woman who is a Jewish British-Canadian who is part Mexican who grew up in Mexico. We started talking about existential approaches to therapy last night. One of the tenants of existentialism is "death anxiety" --- VERY interesting topic. . .

Today I had a full day at work, braved watching Marley & Me on my own when I got home and had dinner (no tears --- I thought it would be hard but because Philip and I haven't had a dog it didn't hit me like I thought it may) and had an evening full of studying.

Tomorrow night I'm staying in Norwich at the home my friend and colleague, the lovely Mrs. Sarah Drake. I'm looking forward to have some hang out time outside of work. She's in charge of the pizza. I'm in charge of the ranch dressing & oreo cakesters (two American staples that are very much a novelty for natives of this country). It'll be a fun evening.

Ciao!

Your bravery is amazing, I watched Marley and Me on our last trip across the ocean and cried a bunch. Of course we've had a few labs so maybe it hit home for me. The two current labs are looking adoringly at me at the moment while I sit at my desk-it helps that I have roast beef on my plate. Sounds like fun on Friday night with friends.

well, I left a note at your house to come to dinner (since I used your oven), but I guess you've got dinner covered!
